From the Teller County Sheriff and Fire Chief McCloud:
At 12pm restrictions will be lifted for all neighborhoods and residences previously under mandatory evacuation. Check points will still be set up at County Roads 51 and 511 until 4pm tonight; proof of residency will be required. After 4pm, normal traffic can resume. Pick up your animals prior to passing through a checkpoint.
Smoke may still be visible but crews continue to work on hot spots and the fire is now 80% contained. State and mutual aid resources have been released, the fire is now under local control.
The Stage 3 fire ban is still in place.
